Odyssey Overland is about a passion for travel,
something I have done since I could get two cents to rub together
and a bit of free time. As the creator of these expeditions, I
am hands-on which means you can expect a very responsive and personal
style of trip. Your thoughts and your ideas contribute too. These
are traveller's journeys and not packaged tours! We do things with
a sense of style and are a very different experience to your standard
overland journey.
A little about my background: For more than nine years I overlanded the world. I have explored Africa, South America and Asia in depth. I have built seven overland trucks most of which, when I last checked were still carrying happy travellers along the adventurous roads of the world. Over the years I have learnt a thing or two, running overland workshops and training a fair number of overland crew around the world. I ran operations for one of the biggest Africa based overland companies and had 23 trucks and trips to worry about, so I understand the logistics and nuts and bolts of running funky overland expeditions.
All in all a terrific experience, but ultimately I have come back to my true love, which is to be on the road travelling, sharing amazing, off the beaten track experiences with fellow travellers. This lead to the forming of Odyssey Overland in 2006 and so far we have completed some amazing expeditions with rave reviews from our expedition members with many more amazing expeditions planned.
