Odyssey Overland is about a passion for travel, something I have done since I could get two cents to rub together and a bit of free time. As the leader of these expeditions, I am hands-on which means you can expect a very responsive and personal style of trip. Your thoughts and your ideas contribute too. These are traveller's journeys and not packaged tours! We take you there and give you as much or as little help as you want. Most expeditions have a crew of 2, but some trip will have three crew and we are all experienced overlanders.
A little about my background: For close to nine years I overlanded the world for two premier overland operators. I have explored Africa, South America and Asia in depth. Over the last nine years I have built seven overland trucks most of which, when I last checked were still carrying happy travellers up and down through Africa. Over the years I have learnt a thing or two, running overland workshops in Africa and training a fair number of African based overland crew. For three years I ran operations for one of the biggest Africa based overland companies and had 23 trucks and trips to worry about, so I understand the logistics and nuts and bolts of running funky overland expeditions.
All in all a terrific experience, but ultimately I have come back to my true love, which is to be on the road travelling, sharing amazing, off the beaten track experiences with fellow travellers.
