Check out the route and travel where only a select few have gone!
We will be leaving London, UK on the 15th April 2008 and arrive in Darwin, Australia on the 8th October 2008. Our overland journey is expected to take six and a bit months and will take in more than 20 countries, with plenty of time to explore as we go. Countries on the list are, France, Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Tibet, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Australia (See the route plan for a detailed itinerary).
A custom built Mercedes Benz or MAN overland truck, designed especially for this expedition will be our home whilst on the road. It will do all the land legs possible with other forms of transport taking us to those more inaccessible areas required to get us to see as much as possible while en route. It might be camels in the deserts, we will cross two major ones, a local rickshaw or old jeep to get us up some small mountain track, or down the back streets of some ancient Silk Road city. Even an old Russian ferry to cross the Caspian Sea! It's all an adventure and as an expedition member you can do it all and be involved in every stage. This is no package holiday!
Lastly when considering all the options, remember that this is a traveller's journey and not a packaged tour. We have allowed enough time to see all the amazing sights along the way, as well as time to chill out and relax. We take you there and give you as much or as little help as you want. We have been there and done it and have the knowledge and skills to make this the trip of your lifetime. We charge a bit more than others, but run smaller groups and believe in really exploring all the amazing places we will pass through on this epic journey!
